MIIT published "2012 The Top 100 of Chinese Internet Company".

MIIT(Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China) published "2012 The Top 100 of Chinese Internet Company".

According to the report, this ranking is based their sales revenue in 2011, and their total revenue exceed 70 billion RMB(= 11.07 billion USD).


Well, I will introduce the companies that was ranking in the top 10 in its English name.

First, this is a distribution map of those company headquarters location.

Shanghai   : 11 companies (27.3%)

CNNIC released a report "The 30th Statistical Report on Internet Development in China".

Today, CNNIC released a report "The 30th Statistical Report on Internet Development" that is written about the situation of the latest Chinese internet market.

According to this report, internet users in China was 537,600,000 people.




















The user increased 24,500,000 people compared with the end of 2011, the diffusion rate of internet was 39.9%.



Next, mobile internet users in China was 388,250,000 people.

















The user increased 32,670,000 people, the ratio of mobile internet user was 72.2% of a whole.


The growth speed of mobile internet user is really rapid, mobile device became the top of all method connecting to the internet.




Red line : Mobile

Blue line : Desktop PC

Green line : Laptop PC









And according to this report, Chinese internet user was on internet 19.9 hours per a week.
















And the component ratio of Internet users by age is as follows.

Baidu Union reported they already have over 600,000 membership. [INFOGRAPHIC]

Baidu Union(*) reported the summery of their membership as follows:














The cumulative revenue sharing of Baidu Union paid to their partner will become over 5 billion RMB(= 0.79 billion USD) in the end of 2012.







Now Baidu Union have over 600,000 membership.








The PV of Baidu is over 5 billion times per a day. It means that a Chinese internet user connect to Baidu 9.8 times per a day.








Baidu Union helped 30 corporate members to go public in the past 10 years.









Now 1,280,000 websites are using tools provided by Baidu Union.







Baidu Union provide the public welfare platform, and they already donated 20 million points to the public.

And at the event held on 1 June, they donated 1.08 million RMB, and gave lunches to 360,000 children.

Baidu published the report of Chinese mobile internet trends in the first quarter, so I would like to introduce its summary.

Although its percentage is going down gradually, but 85.5% of users are mainly using 2G as their means of communication.

The blue line is accessing internet by mobile devices, and the red line is accessing internet by PCs.


From 9 to 18, the percentage of accessing by PCs is higher than mobile device's, but it's usage is reversed at night after 20.






Now mobile internet is explosive expanding in China market, and this is proven by this report.



This is the graph that is written about the ratio of increase each mobile internet users and PC's.


Blue line signify the ratio of increase for mobile internet users, and red line signify for the PC user's.






We have to keep attention when the number of mobile user will be beyond PC's :)

Tencent Forms Six Business Groups To Embrace Future Internet Opportunities.

Today, Tencent formally published that they will forms six business groups.













The detail of its six business groups are as follows:

1. Corporate Development Group (CDG)
2. Interactive Entertainment Group (IEG)
3. Mobile Internet Group (MIG)
4. Online Media Group (OMG)
5. Social Network Group (SNG)
6. Technology and Engineering Group (TEG)


In addition, they will set up Tencent E-Commerce Holding Company (ECC), a wholly-owned subsidiary, to focus on managing its fledging e-Commerce business in China’s large and fast-growing consumer e-Commerce industry.


Chairman and CEO of Tencent Mr. Ma published his comment as follows:

“Through the reorganization, we hope to unleash the Company’s potential capabilities to capture the opportunities of the evolving Internet industry. Our goals are: to strengthen our social networking services, to embrace the expanding global online games market, to extend our presence in mobile Internet, to integrate our online media platforms, to nurture our search business, to build out our e-Commerce platforms, and to enhance our capabilities to incubate new businesses. At the same time, we will pool certain of our technology and engineering teams to further develop core technologies and operational platforms so as to better support future business growth.”




Tencent is a one of the biggest company in Chinese internet industry, so this movement bring big impact to the market and their partner too.


We have to pay attention to the trend of their new system making.
